Project Engineer Smart Infrastructure

Are you passionate about challenging mechanical engineering matters and interested in complex and socially relevant infrastructure projects?

 

Your role

As a mechanical engineer, you work in multidisciplinary teams with civil and electrical engineers on consulting, research and design of complex installations. With a range of tasks including consulting, research and design of complex installations, your career opportunities are diverse. We work on tunnels, buildings, movable bridges, locks, flood defences, pumping and piping, ventilation, fire suppression, and sustainable energy concepts. Within one of these domains, you will focus on new construction and improvements, developing designs and contract documents. You will be involved in the integration of systems and collaborate with specialists at Witteveen+Bos, with regular contact with clients and suppliers. You will be based in Amsterdam, Breda, Deventer or Rotterdam.

 

Product-Market Combination

Within the product-market combination (PMC) Smart Infra Systems in the Infrastructure and Mobility sector, mechanical engineers work on exciting projects. Examples include the Botlek Bridge, the Afsluitdijk, the Oosterweel connection in Antwerp, the tunnelling of the A9 near Amsterdam, and other large and small infrastructure projects. Our clients are mainly public authorities and contractors.

 

What we ask

- (recently) completed degree in mechanical engineering;

- interest in the intersection of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering;

- passion for solving complex technical problems in project teams;

- strong Dutch and English communication (verbal and written);

- strong focus on quality in projects under time pressure;

- international ambition and willingness to work abroad.
