Join taylor, a young high-tech company based in Strijp-S, Eindhoven, focused on making solar energy systems smarter and more efficient.
As a Technical Support Engineer at taylor, you will be jointly responsible for handling technical customer inquiries correctly and contributing to the development of the support department in a fast-growing high-tech company. You will be the first point of contact for installers who purchase and install taylor solar panel systems. Your initial focus will be on guiding installations, answering technical questions, and resolving technical issues. Additionally, you’ll actively contribute ideas for improving our service and product in the long term. You’ll work closely with the development team to translate customer needs into product requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and logging incoming communications via phone, email, and chat
- Answering technical and product-related questions
- Troubleshooting technical issues of installed taylor systems (on-site if necessary)
- Translating operational product improvement insights into development team input
- Coordinating and overseeing logistics related to service issues
- Providing input for financial administration
- Participating in process improvement efforts around customer support
- Contributing to the development of technical training for installers and distribution partners, and potentially giving trainings yourself
Requirements: To thrive at taylor, you need to be focused on excellence, and be proactive and autonomous in your work.
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills; positive, friendly, and approachable
- At least a bachelor’s level of thinking (HBO/WO), preferably with a technical background
- Able to work independently and take responsibility
- Electrical engineering background is a strong plus
- Experience in the solar industry is a strong plus
- Fluent in English and one of the following languages: French or German; Dutch is a strong plus
